Tampa Bay DJs should always be happy to serve a good cause- The Party Doctors Love it! Camp Awesome is a Clearwater based sailing camp for chilred on the Autistic spectrum. We had the opportunity to work with Zach and Paige Railey from the U.S. Olympic sailing team to raise money and awareness for this terrific organization. It’s alwaays nice to DJ a fun evening for a great cause in Tampa Bay!

Such a great time in the Margaret Haye Great Room at Ruth Eckerd Hall. The Meinke’s had an awesome baseball theme to celebrate their passion for sports, especially the Rays. It was so awesome to serve them, and an honor to share their special day!

Being the best Tampa Bay DJs isn’t easy, we just make it look that way! Just a few great shots of a wonderful night! Tim’s a dear friend, and it was a blessing to serve he and Lindsay. Now they’re expecting their first child together!

The reason I bring it up is because this year featured a performance by an artist I have no shortage of respect for, the David Crowder* Band. Strangers to the band are a little late to the party: DCB used Passion as their last public show, as the group Is no longer recording new music or touring together at this time. The announcement made months ago was heartbreaking for many, as David Crowder* Band has created some magnificent music in their time together.

Best described as alternative rock, DCB has specialized in worshipful lyrics that embrace a poetry rarely found these days. To feature such resonant refrains would be impressive in itself, but these guys have for years balanced that with tight musicianship and sonic balance.

These Godly men have served to create some truly special music together, and it saddens me that I’ll be unable to see them in concert any time soon. It’s always a pleasure to add their voice of uplift to my playlist, and as a Tampa DJ for wedding, birthdays and private parties, opportunities do present themselves. They haven’t made too many music videos, but this one features a wildly popular single of theirs that offers a poignant message for all that will hear it. In Lecrae there is a wonderful argument for the promise of clean rap. The genre today is littered with questionable messages for any age or affiliation, as shown by such superstars as DMX, Lil’ Wayne, B.O.B. and many more. As I DJ in Clearwater, Tampa and all over central Florida, I get requests for these and other similar artists on a regular basis. Actually featured on tracks with these guys, he has the flow to stand toe to toe with the giants of the industry. However he stays true to his spirit, rapping about his faith and reluctance to fall to the temptations he’s faced with. He good naturedly chides his contemporaries for their language, violence and womanizing ways, demonstrating his joy managed without such worldly vices.

In my mind the video here rivals the Far East Movement and Swizz Beats in musicality, while sending a message of defiance against the pressures of MTV’s version of youth.
